Privacy policy
Here you can read which data voljeni.com collects, why, who sees it and how long it is kept. The controller is Aragonit Digital. For any question or request, write to kontakt@voljeni.com.
Which data we collect
- About the person the page is dedicated to: name, dates, photo, details of the funeral and the resting place, the life story and memories. They are entered by the funeral home and the family.
- About the family: the name, phone and email of the contact person, and the password. The phone number is also the user name for logging in. The password is kept encrypted and nobody can read it.
- About visitors: the name, city and short message with a candle; the name, message or voice message with a farewell; the photos and memories they send; the name and number of people with a reply to an invitation; and with an order of flowers, also a phone or email.
- From questions and orders: name, phone, email, city, company name and message, and with an order also who the page is for, the country, the payment method and the confirmation that you accepted the terms of purchase.
We do not keep the IP address in a readable form. A short fingerprint is made from it, used only to prevent abuse, for example hundreds of messages in a row, and it is deleted after an hour at the latest.
Why we use it and on what basis
- For the page to work: to show what the family chose, so the family can review or remove photos and messages, so the funeral home gets an order of flowers, and to process an order and a payment. The basis is the contract with the family, or with the buyer.
- To answer a question and prevent abuse: on the basis of our legitimate interest.
- For measuring visits and for ads: only if you allow it, as described on the Cookies and measurement page. You can withdraw your consent whenever you like.
- For invoices and bookkeeping: because the law requires it.
We do not sell data.
Calls to families
We use the phone of the family contact person to help with the page and to offer the family additional services related to the page, for example the book of memories. We call rarely and without pressure. If you do not want such calls, tell us during the call or write to kontakt@voljeni.com, and we will not call you again.
Emails to families
To the email of the family contact person we send what is related to the page: the login details, the payment, a weekly overview of new messages and answers to questions. A few times a year we also send a message before an anniversary, a birthday or a holiday, with a reminder to send the link to the family, and sometimes with a suggestion of an addition for the page. Every such message has a link to unsubscribe, and they can also be switched off in the Account section. We send them through the Brevo service, which also holds the list of families for these messages: email, name and details of the page, until you unsubscribe.
Who sees the data
- A memorial page can be seen by anyone who has the link or scans the QR code, unless the family protects it with a password. The family also chooses whether the page shows up on Google.
- A funeral home in our region sees the pages it opened and the orders of flowers from those pages.
- The site is on the servers of Hostinger in the European Union.
- When the family chooses to have the life story written by AI, its answers are sent to the Claude service of Anthropic, only so the text can be written.
- When the family asks for the texts of the book of memories to be written by AI, what is on the page (name, dates, story, photo captions, memories, messages and the names of those who left them) is sent to the Claude service of Anthropic, only so the texts of the book can be written. The PDF book is kept with us, protected, and only the family and the administrator can open it.
- When you pay by card or PayPal, the payment is processed by PayPal. From PayPal we receive the name, the email and the amount paid; only PayPal sees the details of your card and account.
- OpenStreetMap is used for choosing a place on the map. The View on map button opens Google Maps.
- If you allow it in the cookie choice, Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok receive data about the visit, and with an order also the encrypted email and phone of the buyer. What exactly is described on the Cookies and measurement page.
The company that runs Voljeni has its seat in the Republic of Serbia, and some of the services above also process data in the United States of America. We share data only with them and only as much as is needed for what is described above.
How long
The data of a memorial page is kept as long as the page exists. When a page is deleted, its photos and voice messages are deleted too. We keep questions as long as the conversation and cooperation last, and at most two years. We keep data about orders and payments as long as the accounting rules require.
Cookies
Necessary cookies keep the family and the funeral home logged in, open a page protected with a password, and remember the code for the page for funeral homes and your cookie choice. We use cookies for measuring visits and for ads only if you allow them. Visits to memorial pages are counted for the family without cookies. The list and the way to change your choice are on the Cookies and measurement page.
Your rights
You can ask for access to the data we hold about you, for it to be corrected or deleted, for its processing to be restricted and for the data to be transferred, and you can object to the processing. A message or photo on a memorial page can be removed by the family, and you can also contact us. We answer a request within a month at the latest. If you think your data is not handled according to the rules, you can lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of Serbia (www.poverenik.rs), with the data protection authority of the country where you live, or, in the United States, with the attorney general of your state. The laws of your state may give you more rights, and we respect them.
