Secure card payment
You pay by card or PayPal in the secure PayPal frame. Here is how it works and how the details of your card are protected.
Which cards we accept
Visa, Mastercard and the other cards PayPal accepts, as well as a PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account, a card is enough. The amount is charged in US dollars.
Card details do not pass through our site
When you click the card button, the card fields are opened by PayPal, in its own secure frame on our page, and a PayPal account opens in a small PayPal window. There you enter the card number, the expiry date and the security code, and they go straight to PayPal. The data travels encrypted, over a TLS (SSL) connection, and the payment is processed by PayPal. At no point does our site see or store your card details; we only receive the name, the email and the amount paid.
Confirming the payment
The bank that issued your card may ask you to confirm the payment, for example with a one-time code from a message or a confirmation in your banking app (Visa Secure, Mastercard ID Check). This way only you can pay with your card.
If the payment fails
When a payment fails, your card is not charged. The usual cause is a wrongly typed card number, expiry date or security code, or a card not enabled for online payments. Try again, and if the error repeats, contact the bank that issued the card, or us.
Refunds
When money is returned for a purchase paid by card or PayPal, whatever the reason, it is returned through PayPal, only to the same card or the same PayPal account. More is in Refunds and complaints.
Currency conversion
The price is in US dollars and your card is charged in US dollars. If your card or PayPal account is in another currency, for example in Canadian dollars, pounds or euros, the amount is converted by the bank that issued your card, or by PayPal, at its own rate. We do not know that rate at the moment of payment, so the amount on your statement may differ slightly from the price on the site.
